What does the November lockdown mean for our pets' vet care?

Last Saturday’s announcement means that all non-essential services have to close; the Government recognises that vets are an essential service so we are able to carry on as usual.

We are happy that we have robust social distancing and biosecurity measures in place to keep clients and our team safe, including:

  • mobile phone and license plate check in
  • online payments
  • covered outdoor area for pet handovers
  • appropriate personal protective equipment

We know lots more about delivering quality vet care under lockdown than last time and so we are pleased to continue to able to offer vaccinations, neuterings, dentals as well as more pressing appointments. We would ask that any free 6 month health checks are delayed until December. Unlike last time we won’t be offering routine video consults unless in exceptional circumstances.

We will be offering home visits for emergencies and in the sad event that a much loved pet needs to be put to sleep. To minimise risk only I (John) will be able to come on these visits.
