Our new vet – Dr Katy Julien

You may have noticed a new face this week! I’m really pleased to say that Dr Katy Julien MRCVS has agreed to come and work for us for two days a week.

Katy and I qualified at the same time back in 2000, although like David she is a London graduate. I’ve known Katy for 15 years- we met in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2003 where I was coming in as a locum to replace her as she moved on to another surgery.

We formed a close friendship, in fact so much so that I accepted a permanent job at the practice, joined the local rowing club she was involved in and eventually ended up meeting Angela through the same club! Over the years we’ve rowed, cycled, run, skied and surfed together but never worked together until now.

I know Katy to be a dedicated, experienced and extremely skilled vet, and she will be a massive asset to the team. She’s amongst the friendliest people I know, and I’m so pleased she’s accepted our invitation to come work here.

With Ewan and David qualifying in 2008 and 2004 respectively, we now have no vets with less than 10 years experience, and have a total of 60 years as vets between us. Katy’s skill and years of practice will help us to continue improving our service to you and your pets.
