| Mansion Hill puts walkies on the web...
Mansion Hill Veterinary Practice in Middleton Cheney is appealing to all local dog walkers. Having already made their website an invaluable resource for animal owners, the next goal is to compile a directory of dog-friendly walks in the area. “We’re very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world, but as dog owners ourselves, we know it’s easy to get into a rut, going on the same walks again and again.” says vet and proprietor John Taylor. “The directory is a great way to discover new walks on our doorstep.” It’s easy to nominate a walk, just visit the site and submit some clear directions. There is also the facility to submit maps and photos to help with navigation! “The next step is for us to test out the walk with the practice dogs and, with their approval, we post the walk online for everyone to enjoy,” adds Mr Taylor. The website has already been a big hit with visitors. “Clients can log-on to see their account details and when their next booster is due, but one of the most useful sections for all animal owners in the area is the SOS section,” explains Mr Taylor. “This section has a lost and found notice board for pets that have strayed plus a re-homing section for rescued animals needing a second chance. This month it’s Benji from B.A.R.K.S that needs a very special home.” The practice is keen to share its knowledge and the website’s animal care fact-sheets have proved popular, but having just opened in November last year, site visitors have also been keen to find out more about the surgery. “We’ve added staff photos and a photo tour of the surgery in the last couple of weeks, but it’s the animal photo galleries that have proved most popular!” Visit the website on www.mansionhillvets.co.uk or contact the surgery on 01295 712110. ~ Ends ~ 24/03/2006 Back to news archive |
