1st Puppy Party is a Winner!

Mansion Hill Veterinary Practice in Middleton Cheney has just celebrated its first ever puppy party – a fun way for clients to begin puppy socialisation and to meet other like minded owners.

With four mischievous pups and their families in attendance, the evening went with a swing. All puppies were weighed, photographed and provided with toys for relaxed play, whilst owners tucked into tea and cake!

As well as discussing routine health care of the puppies with Mansion Hill’s vet, the families were treated to a chat with Keith Rowley, the practice’s referral behaviourist. “Prevention is far better than cure and helping owners get into good habits early and establish their puppy’s basic training and is really important,” explains Mr Rowley.

“Socialisation is everything, and that’s not just meeting other dogs, but the three S’s – introducing your dog to lots of sights, smells and shapes. Giving your dog an active and interesting life is easy – you just need a bit of imagination to make every day chores and activities fun and stimulating,” Mr Rowley adds.

Vet and proprietor John Taylor thoroughly enjoyed meeting the pups again, “It’s great to see the puppies growing fast and enjoying themselves and the party is a good opportunity for dogs to establish a positive association with the vet from an early age. The evening was a great success and we’ll strive to make future parties just as fun and informative.”

Parties are free for Mansion Hill’s clients, please get in touch for more details
